Being native to the tropical rainforests of South America, the Fittonia prefers bright indirect light as it normally grows under canopies of trees. Along the same line, the colourful plant loves water and high humidify but can happily live in a home with lower humidity if misted now and then. Loves having a moist soil and water once the top soil is dry. The Fittonia is a bit of a drama queen if they are in need of water as their leaves will go limp and look very miserable but will quickly recover once it got water.
